Board of Directors

Our board of directors is made up of leaders in our county community who meet monthly to guide the Victim Services Unit and oversee the unit as whole. They work closely with our Program Manager and advocates to ensure they are supported in providing educated, professional, and compassionate assistance to those who need it most.

If you are looking for a way to take part in the work VSU does, in an organizational role, call our office for more information: 780 385 3551.

Victim Advocates

Our advocates assist victims of crime, violence and sudden trauma. They can help navigate the court process, connect with community resources, and are trained in crisis intervention and support.

Volunteers in this role receive ongoing training in a wide variety of topics to be better able to serve our victims and are held to a strict confidentiality policy. To learn more about how you can be a part of our team, call 780 385 3551.

“Too often we underestimate the power of a touch, a smile, a kind word, a listening ear, an honest compliment, or the smallest act of caring, all of which have the potential to turn a life around.”
